Carrillo Hernández, José

My trajectory in technology began with high school robotics competitions in FRC Team BotBusters, where I realized that programming and engineering could bring physical and spatial concepts to life. That experience led me to earn a Bachelor's degree in Digital Systems and Robotics Engineering from Tec de Monterrey and a Diploma in Game Design from Vancouver Film School.

As a Unity Game Programmer specializing in VR/XR development, I focus on architecting scalable gameplay mechanics, networking frameworks, and automated Unity editor tools. My work ranges from directing core gameplay and multiplayer architecture for a 25-person remote team on the VRMMORPG Project Aincrad, to building spline-driven gravity physics for Atomic Overdrive, packaging dynamic Cinemachine broadcast tooling for VShow Production, and engineering real-time medical simulation tools for professional training.

My current focus is on building interactive XR systems that balance technical feasibility with spatial comfort, real-time performance, and human perception. Outside of engine development, I enjoy giving back to the community by mentoring young students in game development and programming.
