Justin Dixon

Hey! I’m Justin Dixon (he/him), a Project Manager and marketer from Guelph, Ontario. I specialize in end-to-end digital communication, video editing and storytelling, EDI initiatives, and creative campaign execution.

I began making videos on my mom’s desktop Mac at age five, though my skills have somewhat improved since then. I taught myself video editing and music production in high school and engaged in a specialized graphic design course at M&T Graphics Factory making posters, logos, and other artifacts for real clients. Outside of class, I made YouTube videos about the Mario Kart Wii modding scene, and I 3D modelled, textured and built my own playable custom tracks.

I went on to study Marketing Management at the University of Guelph, learning vital business communication and presentation skills. Through three co-op terms, I designed Instagram campaigns for Registrarial Services, produced videos and tutorials at the John F. Wood Centre, and informed my team’s branding strategy at Teck Resources Ltd. As Marketing Director of the U of G Debate Club, I built the club’s brand from scratch, including its logo, website, and Instagram promotional materials. I work across Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere pro), Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage), Clipchamp, Capcut, and Canva. At CDM, I’m looking to deepen my skills in managing creative projects from concept to delivery alongside talented multidisciplinary teams.
