Matt is a multi-disciplined artist whose training in theatre direction now extends to creative direction, digital and technical artistry, graphic design, and art installation where he hopes to facilitate new relationships between art and technology within the context of interdisciplinarity, innovation, and aesthetic.

Matt is the founding Artistic Director of Theatre Bassaris in Toronto, Canada and directed Closer by Patrick Marber for the company. Since then, the company has won a Best of Venue Award with the Toronto Fringe Festival. Matt continues to advise the company in terms of artistic and organizational development.

Most recently with the Centre for Digital Media, Matt acted as Creative Director and Technical Artist for Pixel Dreams, an interactive art installation that explores our child-like wonder of the universe through a unique immersive environment (a.k.a. "The Cubes"). Pixel Dreams was recently nominated for DigiBC's Best Student Interactive Property award.

Currently, Matt is Technical Lead at Hybridity Media in Vancouver, working with curator Malcolm Levy to develop concepts, technical designs, and software for a variety of works and projection mappings surrounding themes
of interactivity, abstraction and electronic music. These projects will be featured at Transmission Global Summit 2012 (Victoria), MUTEK Festival (Montreal), Vancouver International Jazz Festival, and Nuit Blanche 2012 (Toronto).
