Born and raised in Penang, Malaysia, Tzeyi’s first love was drawing and painting. She came to Canada in 2003 and graduated in 2010 with a BBA from Simon Fraser University’s (SFU’s) highly respected Marketing program. During her years at SFU, she also completed a minor in Art and Culture studies that, she reasons, gave rise to her penchant for fighting causes related to social justice. More recently, her criticality of the status quo was further developed at Emily Carr University of Art + Design and the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) jointly, from which she holds a diploma in graphic design. Tzeyi hopes that her passion for helping marginalized populations can reach full maturation through the MDM Program through her exploration of how digital media can help put an end to needless injustice.
