Charity is a product / marketing manager with 10+ years experience in bringing bold strategic ideas to life.

Most recently, Charity supported the evolution of the TELUS Optik TV product, facilitating and priming projects such as enabling EST (electronic-sell-through) capability; 4K and comprehensive coverage of the CBC Rio 2016 Olympic Games; and marketing activations that lead to the highest On Demand participation and Pay-Per-View buy rates in TELUS history. Her work in partner management included high-profile providers Warner, Sony, Paramount, Fox, Universal Studios and Disney.

As a Product Manager, Charity was also responsible for the program launch and brand development of STORYHIVE, a digital funding platform which to date has awarded over 4M in grant funding and distribution opportunities to creators in BC and AB looking to pitch ideas for original content.

Charity holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre (i.e. the art of strategic storytelling) from the University of Alberta. She is also this year’s recipient of the CDM Pat Hibbitts Scholarship Award.

While pursuing her MDM, Charity aims to build muscle in UI/UX and front end design, master agile project management and cultivate inspired teams ready to solve complex business problems. She is a proud promoter of team engagement and believes culture eats strategy for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

When Charity isn’t MDM-ing or being strong as a mother (to her five year old), you might find her performing in a musical near you.
