Sherlaine completed her undergrad in Criminology at Simon Fraser University and has a certificate in Multimedia and Web Development at the University of British Columbia.

She started her digital media career by working in web development at Atira, a non profit organization, where she remade one of their websites using Drupal. She was then asked by her former employer, Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, to work for the Strategic Communications, Branding and Public Affairs department. The role was responsible for helping to coordinate the day-to-day project operations of the team, reviewing all projects for brand and design consistency, assisting in content creation, and suggesting project improvements.

Through her recent experiences she has learned the fundamentals of project management, branding, prototyping, user testing, front end development, Adobe Creative Suite, and the importance of team building.

Her ambition upon completion of the MDM program is to have not just a basic skill set, but to be proficient in UX, UI and Unity, as well as developing leadership skills to better facilitate group projects.  Lastly, Sherlaine is impressed by the amount of talent in her class and is looking forward to learning and collaborating with everybody.
