About the program
You will join a 5–7 person team of project managers, artists, designers, and programmers at Centre for Digital Media (CDM) to tackle a real-world challenge from an industry client.
By the end of the program, you will:
- Apply agile software design methods to develop, iterate, and deliver an interactive media prototype.
- Analyze and solve complex design and technical challenges during development.
- Integrate diverse perspectives to create innovative and impactful solutions.
- Produce a portfolio-ready interactive media project (subject to client NDA).
- Build connections with industry professionals.
Your team will have a dedicated workspace at CDM, guidance from a faculty supervisor with expertise in digital media design, and the freedom to experiment, iterate, and push creative boundaries in a collaborative setting.
This project requires a significant investment of time and energy. If you anticipate needing to withdraw, do not sign up. Your teammates will be graduate students working full-time in their master’s program, and your role will be critical to the team’s success.
Note: This is not work-for-hire or an internship/co-op.

This course felt like a glimpse into real-world projects I might encounter in my career. Compared to my university's curriculum, this experience was more dynamic and realistic.
