Maria is a filmmaker and motion graphics designer from Bogota, Colombia. After graduating from a bachelor in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication at Universidad de La Sabana, she worked for two years on a wide range of corporate and independent projects in Colombia and Brazil. While working, she developed her skills in motion graphics design, video editing, film directing, project management and production.
Maria is passionate about collaborative projects and entrepreneurship in the field of digital media and she is seeking interdisciplinary partnerships as a way to create new products and experiences.
As a student of the MDM program, she¹s looking forward to collaborate with her peers from a variety of backgrounds and to work on projects that blend her filmmaking and design skills with digital media. She also plans to explore filmmaking opportunities in Vancouver and use what she will learn in the MDM Program to help her pursue an entrepreneurial career.
